Not complete shit

I happen to like punk, which is probably why I don't like this very much. One thing to agree on. God damn close to everyone who listens to punk is a poser. They have no idea what punk is (maybe "was") about. It's about not giving a fuck, about thinking for yourself, about realizing that just because something is commonplace doesn't mean it's the best thing to do. Simple plan, good charlotte, blink 182, sum 41, they're all shit bands, have nothing to do with real punk, they're sellouts, and they all suck corporate executive cock. Thankyou.

was that as symbolic as i thought it was? because it could be interpreted as a tale of how consumerism luls you in with the idea of being able to come out with something you didn't start with, but in the end you end up with nothing and end up a lifeless doll. yeah, probably reading too much into it.

originality

It's true this was heavily inspired by mario brothers and the rise of the mk, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it unoriginal. This is probably the first movie set in the mario world in which mario and luigi aren't present. It's an interesting concept, the koopas killing themselves off.

Cool

This was well done, good execution. It's sort of a DBZ rip in plot and animation, but that's not really bad. Stick with the anime style, but you might want to personalize it a little more, it does look a little too much like dbz.

So that's what I voted it. I've seen sprite films that take no artistic ability and have no plot get scores higher than this, which is complete bs considering this actually took some work (it's not stick figures) and it has a plot.

[Depression.]

Good movie

Good work on this flash. A lot of people don't understand depression, which isn't surprising considering most people don't have it. It doesn't have anything to do with how "good" your life is, it's a physical problem. The way out, at least for me, has been learning that it is a physical problem, that it's treatable, and that you're not so different that life can't satisfy you. More than anything else, it's about hope, because hope is what leads you to try new things.
